Mrs. MacLeod of Raasay is a classic Scottish reel which references a small village on the Isle of Skye, known primarily for its ferry port today. This tune has become incredibly popular and made its way into the American fiddling tradition as "Hop Light Ladies."
"Pigeon on the Gate" is a Scottish reel, not to be confused with the Irish reel, "Pigeon on the Gate" in E dorian. This tune highlights "bowed cuts," as well as the "Syncopated Shuffle with Slurs."
