Broken Wide Open is a solo theatre show featuring Shana Pennington-Baird telling her story about surviving an aortic dissection while traveling alone in Ireland. This hour-long musical story includes ten songs and forty minutes of comedic and dramatic narrative including a 3-person Celtic band. This poignant and hysterical show takes the audience through the harrowing and terrifying experience of almost dying alone and what it took to get back home to Seattle. AND. that's just the first half each night. Enjoy the musical talents of Dréos on Thurs, Friday, and Saturday nights. For the Sunday matinee, enjoy the Half Time Brothers. NW Sinfonietta’s violinist Brandon Vance is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning Scottish fiddler. Brandon and Concertmaster Denise Dillenbeck lead NW Sinfonietta strings in this program that traces the violin/fiddle from Scandinavia to the British Isles, across the Atlantic and down into the Appalachian range. The concert will also include some of Brandon’s original compositions.

Brandon is proud to be the 2nd violinist for the Skyros String Quartet, which will be performing as guests artists at the Common Tone Chamber Music Festival in Moscow, Idaho this June!
Scottish Performing Arts Classic
Brandon is excited to have been one of four fiddlers invited to participate in the Scottish Performing Arts Classic, Dan R. MacDonald Memorial Prize for Senior Fiddle, hosted by The Robert Burns Society and The Clan Donald Lands Trust. Brandon will be performing a 20-minute recital Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at the St. James Anglican Church on James Island, South Carolina (just outside of Charleston).
St. Paddy's Day Show "The Deer's Cry"
Join Brandon on fiddle, Henry Lebedinsky on keyboard and zouk, and Natalie Ingrisano on vocals, for some beautiful celtic hymns, original compositions in a celtic-style by Henry, and some foot-stompin’ fiddle tunes. Due to Covid restrictions, this concert will be live-streamed.
